What are the CrossFit Games?
The CrossFit games are the world’s largest CrossFit competition run yearly in July/August. Competitors qualify to compete through a regional level competition. Regionals are broken down into 7-8 ‘super regions’ with Australia falling into the ‘Pacific Region’ alongside New Zealand and most of Asia with the top men, women and teams from each region going through to the CrossFit games. To get to regionals you need to qualify for The Open worldwide CrossFit competition. The CrossFit open is a 5 week event where a new WOD – workout of the day is released every Friday and competitors have 4 days to take part and submit their score.
